Going To California | Led Zeppelin
- This was inspired by Joni Mitchell’s “California.” Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were huge fans of hers. When performed live, after the lines “To find the queen without a king they say she plays guitar and cries and sings,” Plant would often say the name “Joni.”
- The original title was “Guide To California.”
- This started as a song about earthquakes, but developed into a song about the search for a woman.
- John Paul Jones played mandolin on this track and Page played acoustic guitar.

I love how you all are upset about guys cat calling you on the street but yet all we do on this website is talk about how hot all of these rock stars are and talk about how big their penises are and how nice their asses are and how hot they are and how we’d fuck them even if they’re old men and how sometimes people even say they want to rape them. Personally, I think that’s worse then a guy saying to a girl on the street that she has nice legs.
